Music and Art Programs
Many of the children to which we offer services will lack the resources necessary to develop musical and artistic talents. Creating Possibilities for Kids provides instruction and materials including the use of camera equipment, art supplies, computers, musical instruments and other resources. Volunteer and paid instructors having prior experience in, and a thorough knowledge of, the field in which they instruct, teach classes and give one-on-one instruction.
Athletics and Sports Programs
Many of the children to which we offer services will lack the resources necessary to develop athletic skills and play sports. Creating Possibilities for Kids provides instruction and the use of sports equipment. We will also provide funding to qualified families for involvement in local leagues and tournaments. Children receive instruction from volunteer and paid instructors and coaches.
Outdoor Recreation and Field Trips
Many of the children and families to which we offer services lack the resources for recreational activities. Creating Possibilities for Kids provides resources and materials for outdoor recreation and will sponsor camping and field trips. Activities include backpacking, hiking, water sports, winter sports, educational and conservational field trips, and camping. We have many opportunities for outdoor activities throughout a calendar year. A program director conducts and supervises trips.
Scholarship and Grant Opportunities
Creating Possibilities for Kids provides to qualified children scholarship opportunities for furthering education at technical/trade schools, colleges, and universities. We also provide grants and scholarships to extracurricular summer camps and programs. These scholarships and grants will allow children that lack resources opportunities to develop skills, and further their learning.
Tutoring
Creating Possibilities for Kids provides tutors and tutoring sessions to children struggling in school. Many of these children may need help with homework and learning concepts. We provide individual sessions on any subject in which a child may need help. Instructors and tutors will have a thorough knowledge of a subject and will be certified as necessary.
